Multi Level Marketers require a steady flow of potential customers to whom the respective business opportunity/product can be presented to. Thus, making ‘Lead Generation’ one of the most important aspects for any successful Multi Level Marketer partaking in network marketing, as is for any other business in order to garner a certain level of sales.
However, there arises a question as to where to find the best MLM leads; from warm markets (a list of 100 people you know) to generating leads yourself, a plethora of ways can be utilised to do the aforementioned.
However, prior to marketing your business, it will be helpful for you to answer a few questions, enabling you to generate MLM leads for the same.
Firstly, you need to ask yourself who is your target market? This can be gauged through which product/service you plan to sell and who is likely to purchase your offering; for example if you are selling health related products, then you target market is likely to be health conscious individuals.
Second, where can your target market be found? Continuing with the previous example, in case of health related products your target market is likely to be found at gyms and/or fitness centres. In this case, don’t forget to tap into social media, where you can tap into your market through writing posts on a fitness blog and such. Perhaps one of the most important questions to ask yourself is; are you providing a solution? Inevitably your potential customer will only opt for your offering if it provides a solution to help them get what they want.
This can be done through shaping your offerings to suit your lead’s wants, feelings and goals. After answering these questions you are ready to locate and entice leads which can be of great benefit to your business.
Utilizing websites, either company offered or self generated ones, can be an effective tool to generate MLM leads, whereby you can include information about your company and its offerings. In case your company doesn’t allow for a website to be set up, then you can opt for setting a website up which covers a topic related to your offering. For example, if you sell beauty products, you can easily start a blog, within which you can include information about yourself and your company and position your offerings in such a way so as to be helping people with what they require.
Once you’ve garnered the interest of your lead via them visiting your website, you can offer them an incentive such as a prevailing discount, for them to sign up on your email list. Hence allowing you to build upon your subscriber list and allowing you to maintain contact with your potential clients to keep them updated with new product offerings, updates and such. Other than the email option, you can also include a ‘Tell Me More’ option, where the lead can ask you to contact them regarding your product/service.
Article writing is another great way to generate MLM leads, which can either be published on your website/blog or on website which promote MLM as a career option. However, in case of the latter you may not be able to promote your business in the article, therefore instead you can include a bio which mentions your offering and a link to your website/blog. A point to be noted is that the article should be written in an informative stance rather than an advertorial one; for example if you sell beauty products, you can generate content on tips to take care of your skin.
Social Media is another effective tool to generate MLM leads, whereby you can utilise various social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and such to entice the leads to purchase your product. For example, if you sell beauty products, you can post tutorials on social media using your products.
Referral programs are easier to convert into a sale, since people who come to you via referrals are already interested in your offering. To entice individuals to become a part of the referral program you can offer them incentives, such as a discount on their next purchase for every customer they send through.
The effective utilization of these tips can act as a stepping stone in becoming a network marketing success whereby once you’ve got the leads, determine whether they are a good fit prior to making your pitch, then simply follow up to ensure a conversion to an actual sale.
